What Counts as Wall Decor

Wall decor covers framed art and posters, wall panels, the cut-out wall niches seen in the game's hallway screenshots, and the patterned wallpaper layer — the green bubble-and-spiral print being the most recognizable. Almost any surface texture in the game can be swapped, so "wall decor" is really two layers: what hangs on the wall, and what the wall itself is made of.

The Gallery-Wall Pattern

Dorfic walls want order: hang frames in an even grid with consistent spacing, or run one oversized statement piece alone. The even grid reads as a gallery from across the room and in photo-mode thumbnails; scattered singles read as clutter at the same distance.

Match frame count to wall width — odd numbers (3 or 5) center themselves naturally over sofas and consoles.

Wallpaper and Surface Swapping

The wallpaper layer is where the retro-futurist patterns live: the green bubble print, subtle textures and color-washed walls. Because surfaces swap independently of furniture, you can redecorate a whole room's mood — from plain white Dorfic to patterned Eco — without moving a single object. Test wallpaper changes in photo mode: patterns that feel loud in person often photograph softer.

Where It Fits in Your Build

Finish walls last. Furniture placement decides which walls earn decor — the wall your sofa faces, the wall behind a desk — and decorating every wall equally is the most common reason a room feels busy instead of designed.
